For anyone who doesn’t know, I live in Yorkshire. I fell in love with Leeds when I moved here three years ago; there’s always so much going on. This weekend welcomes the grand depart of the Tour de France to our rolling Yorkshire hills and the city has been practically painted yellow. Everyone is getting involved in the fun so I figured I’d put together a look book to celebrate:
1. Yellow Full Midi Skirt by ASOS, £22
For a stylish, laid back summer look, pair with a cute crop top and oversized sunnies!
2. Freida Sunflower Headband by RockNRose, £48
Come rain or shine at the weekend, you’ll be rocking those summer vibes with this oversized flower headband.
3. Clear Rain Mac by ASOS, £35
And lets be honest, it will probably rain! This is Yorkshire we’re talking about. Keep dry whilst showing off your style in this see through yellow mac.
4. Lemon Fruit Slice Clutch Bag by New Look, £10
Feeling fruity? You might have seen me raving about this little slice and it’s watermelon counterpart on previous posts. I’m completely sold, and at just £10 it’s such a bargain.
5. Madrid Sun Flat Sandals by Birkenstock, £44.95
If you haven’t already got on board with the Birkenstock trend, what are you waiting for? They’re super comfy. Ugly shoes are in but who says you can’t brighten them up with a splash of colour? I say go for it.
6. Love All Lace Bandeau by Bjorn Borg, £23
I a little bit obsessed with lace at the minute. My last blog post was all about an amazing underwear set from House of Fraser. The lace used for this piece is so pretty and delicate plus bandeaus are so easy to wear.
And not forgetting about the gents, I’ve picked out a few tour inspired pieces you’re sure to love!
Mod style lover and top cyclist Bradley Wiggins has teamed up with Fred Perry once again. The collection ties together cycling and style by mixing Bradley’s riding colours with a Pretty Green esque look.
1. Howells Leather Bradley Shoe, £35
Leather adds an edge of sophistication to trainers. Tan always works well here, these shoes are pretty classic and make a nice change from New Balance.
2. Twill City Trousers, £95
These slim fitting trousers with stretch material are ideal if you need to hop on your bike! You can taper the ankles with buttons if you want to go that extra mod mile.
3. Bradley Pack Away Cagoule, £62.50
Who doesn’t need a good old cagoule to keep them dry? Handy for the unreliable British weather and you’re sure to stand out in a sea of yellow at the weekend!
I’m looking forward to heading into town at the weekend, though the place is already starting to fill up. If you’re planning on catching the Grand Depart or any other section of the Tour de France, make sure to whip out your mobile phones and get filming. Mobiles.co.uk are running a competition to win a Go Pro or a Sony Experia Z2. I’d love to get my hands on a GoPro to use on holiday so I’ll be filming lots of footage on the day. You can head over to Mobiles website for more information about the competition.

A faux-ginger, gin drinking, digital marketing gal with a thing for food styling. That was basically my old Tinder bio... Living in Leeds, I'm forever heading out for dinner, buying too many clothes, spending 50% of my money on ubers and, as of now, putting my stamp on my new apartment!
