As a brand, Jo Malone is not normally somewhere I shop. It’s a little pricey and I am supposed to be a student after all, which doesn’t generally mean spending £40 on a candle is acceptable. But sometimes in life, you need to do just that.
The store was all beautifully decorated for winter and as soon as you step through the door, it just smells like a dream. The rather classic cream and black packaging is almost enough to have me hand over my debit card and telling them to take the lot!
My love for Jo Malone started when my lovely nan gave me the grapefruit bath oil. It’s such an amazing product. One or two drops in your bath and the whole room is filled with a deliciously sweet smell – absolutely perfect when you need to de-stress. This definitely inspired another purchase…
Shall we open the box?
As a testament to my serious love for that grapefruit scent, I picked up one of the huge candles. It wont be burning down any time soon.
I can’t help but love the little things… like the special black Jo Malone matches you get. Serious novelty love.
You don’t even need to light it, the scent just fills the whole room anyway!
I also picked up an amazing new release…
The new scent from Jo Malone. It’s called ‘Wood Sage and Sea Salt’ and it smells divine. It’s actually really strong at first but don’t let that put you off as it becomes more subtle throughout the day – I did have to top it up once or twice though!
It’s quite unusual and you get a strong hit of the sea salt – but that’s exactly what I love about it.
I’m so impressed with my new purchases and completely head over the heels with the brand. Jo Malone will definitely be on my christmas list this year!
Love Lucinda xx
