It’s a new year and I’m still facing the same old drama of not being able to walk into Selfridges beauty hall and buy everything. Thank God for wishlists hey? I’m actually considering a spending ban so I can save up for things I’ll appreciate (I already know my other half, mother and my bank balance will think this is a great idea). But that won’t stop me dreaming so here are my current beauty lusts…
1. Filmstar Bronze and Glow sculpt and highlight kit from Charlotte Tilbury, £49
Okay so I might have binged on all six seasons of Gossip Girl on Netflix over the holidays and now I can do nothing but lust over blair-worthy cheek bones. This dream kit from Charlotte Tilbury seems to be the solution.
2. The Dolce Vita luxury eye palette from Charlotte Tilbury, £38
Yet more from CT. That woman can do no wrong. I’m pretty much in love with every single one of her luxury eye palettes but The Dolce Vita is at the top of the pile. It’s got warmth and just the perfect combination of shades.
3. Meteorites by Guerlain, £33.75
Possibly the most beautiful product in the most beautiful packaging, you can’t help but fall in love. If you’re looking for the ingredients for the perfect completion then you’re in the right place! Fixing imperfections and adding radiance have put this product firmly on my wish list!
4. and 5. Wicked and Cashmere Velvetines from Lime Crime, $20 each
You have to be prepared if you want to get your hands on these beauties… They sell quicker than sample sale Louboutins! They look amazing but I’ve seen mixed reviews and lots of dupes floating round (which are equally difficult to find). Doe Deere (Lime Crime CEO) also seems a bit dubious, but if the products live up to the hype, I need to give them a whirl!
6. Pro Palette from Lorac, $42
With 16 different shades and a mini eye primer, the Lorac Pro Palette has everything you need to create any look (especially handy if your on a trip). The mix of shimmer and matte shades is what makes it so versatile and the pigmentation looks so strong. Such a dream!
7. The Foundation from Topshop, £16
I’m a huge fan of ‘barely there’ makeup and this foundation from topshop seems to fit the bill: not heavy but still provides coverage. It has such a high end feel about it (thanks to the packaging and the pipette) and a silky finish that I adore. My beautiful friend over at EmTalks did a full review, you should check it out!
8. The Airbrush Primer from Topshop, £12
This is a steal compared to Porefessional from Benefit (but then again, Porefessional is AMAZING!) and I’m dying to find out if it lives up to it’s name. I’m currently also testing the Instablur primer from Body Shop which I’ll tell you all about soon, but the Topshop one is next on my list!
If I go ahead with a spending ban, you can expect to see a couple more wish lists on the blog… I’m already lusting after so many items!!
So are you lusting after any items in particular? What do you think of spending bans? We can chat below in the comments!
A faux-ginger, gin drinking, digital marketing gal with a thing for food styling. That was basically my old Tinder bio... Living in Leeds, I'm forever heading out for dinner, buying too many clothes, spending 50% of my money on ubers and, as of now, putting my stamp on my new apartment!
