Whilst you were probably hard at work at 10am Wednesday morning, I was haphazardly hitting the refresh button with more enthusiasm than words can describe. The result? Thanks to Carling, the other half and I will be spending our bank holiday in one of two destinations: Brighton or Barbados. Since we find out Friday it doesn’t leave us much time before heading off on our adventure so I’m planning ahead style wise. If it came down to it, I get the feeling most of us would choose Barbados over Brighton (hello sunshine and swimming pools) so I’m switching things up. In the fashion vote (ooh topical), would you choose Brighton or Barbados?
JUMPSUIT | STRIPE DRESS | PRINT DRESS | PANT SUIT
If you find a jumpsuit that can be dressed up or down, you’re onto a winner. I love the wrap detail (I’ve got a dress that’s a similar style too), it’s great for smoothing over any wobbly bits. The shirt dress and navy suit are just so effortlessly chic, you can’t go wrong. And I abso can’t resist the trousers and trainers combination for a laid back twist. I fell head over hells for that quirky print dress too. It reminded me of THIS tee from Brandy Melville that I’ve wanted for years. And if it’s nippy by the sea front, bob on some black tights and we’re good to go (and get an ice cream…)
Summer style is so incredibly easy to wear, just throw on a cover up and some chunky sandals or a co-ord like the dreamy
tan suede style (so in) version about. I love bright whites and bold prints and textures for Summer so this bunch tick all the boxes. Look out for the white and blue beach dress in my Friday Fashion post (I fell in love and it fell into my basket!). Coral is such a Summer shade and the pompom detail gives it a little more pzaz! And that floral co-ord? Gimme, gimme (oh pretty please?) it’s the perfect evening look – cropped and light weight to keep you cool. Add an oversized hat and sunglasses + wedges and we’re just about all 70’s glammed out.
Missguided have an INCRED 25% off right now for students (just use your unidays code) which makes spending the remnants of our loans/overdrafts that bit more bearable and ASOS? Well you just can’t go wrong!
So will it be Brighton or Barbados? I’ll be sharing the result on my twitter when I find out where I’m off to!
A faux-ginger, gin drinking, digital marketing gal with a thing for food styling. That was basically my old Tinder bio... Living in Leeds, I'm forever heading out for dinner, buying too many clothes, spending 50% of my money on ubers and, as of now, putting my stamp on my new apartment!
