Every year when Coachella rolls around, my news feed is flooded with enough lace, crochet and fringing to keep the Oslens in business till 2070. And it’s perfect timing! My winter pieces are slowly (this is Leeds, mind) being packed away and replaced with my favourite summer styles. Luckily, I’ve found the dream dress to keep the Coachella envy at bay…
DRESS | BOOTS
When something so utterly gorge comes along, we can keep things simple. For heaven in dress form, it’s got a total Bora Aksu (designer of dreams) S/S15 vibe, and who doesn’t love the blue and white combo? Bell sleeves and the lace-up front tick so many trend boxes, plus you’ll probably spot me wearing it with wellies when the UK festival season arrives. Bonus points? There’s two ways to wear: either wear it baggy over swimwear with sandals- hello beach babes – or tie it up for a figure flattering style. The dress from glamorous at ASOS… those guys are seriously on point right now. They also created this tan fringed jacket that I can’t stop wearing!
Of course I paired this 70s inspired slice with my trusty over the knee boots. Definitely a strong investment, I’ve hardly had them off since November. Since my outfit was inspired by festival vibes, I throw some glitter and hair braids into the mix.
I keep trying to resist curling my hair but I’m in love with how the rose gold tones look, courtesy of the amazing Matt at Westrow Salon. But don’t worry, I’m making up for it with some serious hair care! Sundays are meant for relaxing so I’ll be spending mine chilling with a glass (okay, bottle) of vino, a hair mask and my LUSH favorite Oatifix!
So what do you think of my No-chella look? Heading to any festivals this year? Bob your thoughts in the comments section!
A faux-ginger, gin drinking, digital marketing gal with a thing for food styling. That was basically my old Tinder bio... Living in Leeds, I'm forever heading out for dinner, buying too many clothes, spending 50% of my money on ubers and, as of now, putting my stamp on my new apartment!
