When you get offered the chance of a trip to Barbados for £49, you say yes. And sometimes, you end up in Brighton. After getting over the initial disappointment of swapping sandy beaches for a pebble one, I started to look forward to the adventure and obviously did lots of research on restaurants we should try. With the car eventually packed, the bank holiday weekend arrived and the other half and I set off on our 5 hour drive to Brighton…
We had such a fantastic weekend that it’s going to take more than a few blog posts to tell you all about it but I wanted to give you all a quick update on what we got up to! Brighton is such a happy place, from the bright lights of the pier to the beautiful, vintage houses. I fell completely in love with it. And the best news is, the people of Brighton seem to love bunting as much as I do (impressive, I know).
I made sure to scope out all the best foodie joints around, which meant oysters at The Salt Room, quirky to down right wacky ice cream flavours from Boho Gelato and the best ever hangover cures from The New Club. Oh, and incredible cocktails at BYOC. You need to check that place out! Plus you can look out for a full post coming soon.
I wish it wasn’t so far away from Leeds – though it’s probably a good job as I’d be there every weekend and end up very, very poor! I’m glad I’ve got lots more Brighton loving to share with you, and even a vlog in the pipeline (you can find my new channel HERE).
Have you been to Brighton before? Where would you like to visit? You can tell me aaaalllllllllll about it below!
A faux-ginger, gin drinking, digital marketing gal with a thing for food styling. That was basically my old Tinder bio... Living in Leeds, I'm forever heading out for dinner, buying too many clothes, spending 50% of my money on ubers and, as of now, putting my stamp on my new apartment!
