Regardless of whether you’ve been living on Twitter or under a rock, you will have heard of the seriously FAB Bloggers Blog Awards. Set up by the gorge gal Hayley at Tea Party Beauty, with the awards ceremony at the stunning Lambert’s yard, the day was just incred. I’ll be sharing a post about the day shortly but in the mean time, here’s my look from the day (I was shortlisted for Best Longstanding Fashion Blogger so the pressure was on)…
LACE-UP DRESS | FLORAL BUTTON DOWN COAT | SNAKESKIN BAG | BLACK PLATFORM HEELS | GYPSOPHILA FLOWER CROWN | MARC JACOBS WATCH | PALM TREE NECKLACE | ROSE GOLD FRIENDSHIP BRACELET
If I get the opportunity to swish about like a princess, you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be doing just that. I’ve had that floral dress/jacket/beautiful piece of clothing in my wardrobe for a while and this was the perfect chance to take it for a spin. Cue lots of twirling and then a whole lot more. Missguided created a few versions of this piece but this print was my absolutely fave. If you’re dying to get your hands on it, I’ve picked out a few similar piece that you can lust over till pay-day: shirt dress version here and a sleeveless version here.
An awards ceremony totally justifies a new dress right? I certainly thought so. I’m still lace-up obsessed so when a certain little white dress landed in my basket alongside a discount code in my inbox, who was I to refuse? I picked up a 14 which was a little roomy on top but I just cinched it in with a belt and voila!
My flower crown is made from fresh Gypsophila (fancy), though I bought it back in July for my graduation and it’s obviously dried out since then. Luckily it still looks beaut! I managed about an hour of standing before those heels started to take their toll and by the time the raffle was over, I’d done more than my fair share of moaning (memo: wear flats next time!!).
What do you think of the look? Would you take that jacket for a spin?
A faux-ginger, gin drinking, digital marketing gal with a thing for food styling. That was basically my old Tinder bio... Living in Leeds, I'm forever heading out for dinner, buying too many clothes, spending 50% of my money on ubers and, as of now, putting my stamp on my new apartment!
