Summer Stripes and Bomber Jackets

Bomber jackets are abso everywhere at the min, from dusky pink numbers to classy khaki. So I decided to get my hands on one and take it for a spin. I wanted something a little different, so when I spotted one with contrast cuffs and some cute looking applique, it was straight in my basket. Cue the need for a new summer dress to go with it (’cause Treat Yo Self, that’s why)…

Since there are so many bomber jackets on the market right now, I wanted something that would stand out a little. This li’l dreamboat is perfect for summer. The material was a little thinner than I expected so it won’t protect you when the weather turns but it’s a great cover-up for when the sun is shining.

I paired it with the neutral stripes of my halter-neck sun dress, cinched in a the waist – though it looks just as good free-flowing. The dress is super comfy to throw on and I’ll be getting it out at every sunny opportunity (however few and far between they may be).

And of course I’m wearing my go-to ‘I don’t trust the weather enough to wear sandals’ shoes – my Stan Smiths. I’ve taken to wearing them with just about everything lately, from casual summer styles to getting glammed up in ball gowns (post coming soon, eeek). My sunnies are a sold-out Jeepers Peepers pair that I adore but luckily ASOS have a v.similar version linked above (and cheaper, yaassss).

What do you think of the look? Fancy joining me in crossing my fingers for some real sunshine soon?

Love Lucinda xx
