Is it just me or are you bored of being told what you can and can’t wear? The ‘kind words of advice’ predictably arrive with each new season (and often in between). Fat gals can’t wear bikinis. Skinny gals can’t wear low cut tops. Blondes don’t suit this and brunettes can’t pull off that. Ugh, just throw that rulebook out of the window. And if you can’t deal with all the huns slaying in whatever the hell they wanna wear? This blog ain’t for you…
ORANGE SHIFT DRESS* | ORANGE BOX BAG (similar) | BLOCK HEEL SANDALS (similar) | ROPE BELT (black) | CAT EYE SUNGLASSES
Say hola to orange; bright, bold and bloomin’ lovely. I picked out the dress at the fabulous La Redoute Summer Party (go behind the scenes here) and fell head over heels. It’s a pretty fitted shift dress, so yeah, it’s no secret that I don’t have the abs of a Victoria’s Secret model. But that’s not about to stop me. I grabbed a simple rope belt to create a li’l more shape and sassed my way out of the front door.
Since we’re going for bold here, I paired it with my fave bright orange box bag from Dune. Sadly it’s a previous season but as always, I’ve linked something similar and stunning above (an Aspinal trunk that is firmly on my wishlist). Statement accessories are my jam, so sassy AF sunglasses and a stand-out necklace are a must. Throw on some ‘take you anywhere’ sandals like mine (must packs for city breaks) and you’re good to go.
What do you think of the look? Embrace the bod or grab some shapewear? Let me know.
