There’s always that temptation in Winter to just throw on anything warm and be done with it. Frumpy, baggy and layer upon layer of nothing too exciting. So I’m attempting Blogmas AND I’ve turned it into a style challenge. I’m planning on sharing one outfit everyday up until Christmas, which is a bit of a step up from my usual once a week outfit post. I’ll be sharing party looks, work wear, cosy casual styles and more. Ready to dress up for December?
HIGH WAISTED STRIPE TROUSERS (colour version) | OVERSIZED ORANGE SCARF (similar) | LEOPARD PRINT BOOTS (similar) | BLACK CROP TOP | SHEARLING DENIM JACKET (lighter version)
Wide-leg, high waisted trousers are a must buy. I have far too many pairs, including this one from Lavish Alice that I’m still obsessed with, as they’re fabulous and so flattering. Obvs I’m not a model so heels are a must for me – I usually throw on a pair of ankle boots and (teamed with the high waist) voila, legs for days! Watch out Kendal and co, ’cause obviously I didn’t just watch the Victoria’s Secret fashion show on my laptop while simultaneously eating my body weight in nachos…
Moving on, I’m currently all about cosy AF, over-sized scarfs. This burnt orange one is currently sold out (so sad) but don’t you worry, I’ve linked a similar pastel version that’s just as fluffy above. The shearling lined jacket is a fave of mine. It’s beyond snug as the sleeves are also lined, but still looks chic thanks to the cropped length. ASOS do a few fab versions in different colours of denim too, so you can make it work whatever your colour palette.
This looks combines statement prints and block colour. I love the contrast of the stripes and animal print, and the monochrome interrupted by rich colours. It’s only day one of blogmas and I’m already feeling fabulous.
A faux-ginger, gin drinking, digital marketing gal with a thing for food styling. That was basically my old Tinder bio... Living in Leeds, I'm forever heading out for dinner, buying too many clothes, spending 50% of my money on ubers and, as of now, putting my stamp on my new apartment!
