BLOGMAS// December Style Day 7

When I need a li’l inspo to switch up my look, Gossip Girl is often my go to. It’s one of my fave old shows to re-watch in my pjs on a Sunday whilst day dreaming I’ll be dashing off to the met gala that evening in one of my many Oscar De La Renta gowns that I totally own. The show may have ended back in 2012 but the wardrobe is timeless; from Serena’s boho chic vibes to Blair’s prep queen, to Jenny’s little rebel look. My blogmas day 7 look is all about embracing the original Queen B’s style…

CHEVRON PRINT SHIFT DRESS* | OVER THE KNEE BOOTS | MULBERRY HAT (similar) | BERRY GLOVES WITH DETAIL (similar)

The dress I’m wearing is so perfect for Winter – so, so snug. You might recognise it from my cocktail masterclass with Bonprix. I’m always a fan of bold prints and the fact it’s monochrome gives you so much styling freedom to pull in other colours and prints.

Continuing with the 60’s theme, my fave over the knee boots are back for another season. I bought these two years ago from ASOS (they still stock the same pair, hurray) and never looked back. They never get pushed to the back of the wardrobe as I’ve always got a outfit they look fab with, and they still look brand new.

I wanted to give the look a li’l extra pizzazz (current fave word) and that’s where my inspo from Blair came in. I love how her looks are always topped off with those added details and pops of colour. Since she’s rarely seen without a perfectly placed hat or hair accessory, my hat stand was the first place I looked. I went for rich berry tones to give the look a festive twist and the little details like the bow and the buttons on the gloves make the look Waldorf worthy.
